Depending on your plan with Homestead, you can Add A New Website to build without interrupting your current site. You will be asked to give it a name, and you can name it whatever you want, since it is really only your "working title" until you officially associate it with your domain name.
You will be able to easily tell if you have the kind of payment plan that allows additional sites to be built at no extra charge if you see something like the picture when you log in. The option for Add a website will be right there. Also a picture of how to name your site. Hope that helps.
You can. You can buy the domains from Homestead or somewhere like GoDaddy and attach them to any sites you build. You build the sites, the add the domain name you have to the new website. Don't forget to activate the SSL certificate (from the Domain Manager in Homestead) when you do that, though. It's an important step.
