To find and browse templates for the Homestead WebsiteBuilder, you must access the Websites Manager within your Homestead account. The platform provides a library of hundreds of pre-made templates across approximately 100 business categories. [1]
Steps to Access the Template Library
  1. Log in to your account at Homestead.com. [1]
  2. Click on the Websites Manager tab located in the left navigation menu. [1, 2]
  3. If you are starting a new project, click the Add New Website button in the top right corner.
    • Note: If this option is missing, your current package may have reached its website limit. [1, 2]
  4. Provide a name for the new site and click Add this Site. [1, 2]
  5. On the redirected screen, click the Choose Design button to open the template gallery. [1, 2]
Browsing and Selecting Templates
  • Search and Filter: You can select specific categories or search for keywords to find a design that fits your needs.
  • Previewing: Hover your mouse over any template and click the Select button to see a live preview.
  • Finalizing: Once you find a design you like, click Select this Design to launch it in the editor. [1, 2, 3]
Critical Considerations
  • No Post-Selection Changes: In the new WebsiteBuilder, once you have selected and saved a template for a site, it cannot be changed later. To use a different template, you must create an entirely new website. [1, 2, 3]
  • Conversion Limitations: There is no way to automatically convert existing websites from older Homestead editors into a new WebsiteBuilder template; they must be rebuilt manually in the new editor. [1]
  • Template Content: Each template is a complete, working website including relevant pages, working navigation, images, and usable text. [1]
