Google Search Console

Google Search Console
When you set up https:// capability on your website, it is a good idea to add that property to Google Search Console.

To do this:

  1. Go to https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/home
Either sign in or sign up for an account.

  2. Add your property. If this is a new account with no properties, it will look like this:

For accounts that already have a property, it will look like this:

  3. Each URL you add will need to be verified. I recommend using the HTML tag under alternative methods. Copy the code and paste it in the Head tag in the builder.

For Sitebuilder Plus sites, this is under Page Settings > Advanced Settings. Paste the code and Publish your site.
For Website Builder, this is under Manage > Advanced. Paste the code and Publish your site.

  4. Enter in the different versions of your site. It is recommended by Google to add the http://, https://, www, and non-www. So, 4 versions in total.
