How hard is it to migrate my website to a new site. It seems that Homestead isn't too user friendly for me.

Unfortunately, there is no migration path. The new Websitebuilder is too different from Sitebuilder to allow this, so you do have to create a totally new site. Fortunately, in your case the site is not too large and should not take too long. You should even be able to copy/paste text off the old published site and into the new builder. You will need to do some formatting, etc to fit your eye, but it should be pretty easy.

I'll try it but not happy. I've been paying for this website for a few years and feel homestead is not user friendly.

Usually we suggest you build the new site completely and then move the domain so there is no down time. Once done with the new site, you can change the association of the domain using these instructions.

Will I have to build a new site every time there is a new and improved homestead?

That is not the plan at this time, but it is possible that there could be some advancements made in the future that make it impossible to migrate the site.
