Brave.com Verification

I am trying to verify my site for Brave.com so that I can accept BAT.

This is the process.  I believe that I followed it, but Brave cannot find the file:

1. Download the verification file.

File name:
brave-rewards-verification.txt

File contents:
This is a Brave Rewards publisher verification file.

Domain: franklinnoll.com
Token: 8ed086dbce9388eaa98abd0461b6b921bb2541da75015822d10403d37ae1fc4a

2. Upload the verification file to the '.well-known' folder on your domain (create the folder if you don't have one).
* Do not change the file name or file content.

3. Make sure the verification file is placed in the folder and click verify (on the Brave website).

Can someone check that I did this right?

Thanks!

Hello,

Unfortunately, WebsiteBuilder does not have an option to upload files directly to the root. You will want to see if there is an alternate method that can be provided and used for verification. If there is a DNS record option this would be the recommended method.

There is a DNS option, but I have no conception of what this means.

Perfect, go to the advanced DNS settings and add a new TXT record with the value they are providing. Here are the instructions.  https://community.homestead.com/conversations/account-billing/account-editview-dns-records/5f2a9b3a58180958845ee4fb

Under TXT Records, I added a line with the name TXT and the Value provided by Brave.

No luck with verification yet.  So far, Brave can't find the token in the TXT records.

DNS changes can take a little time to propagate and be found. Please allow at least 24 hours.
