Setting up email in Outlook (new) app
I have been receiving notifications from Outlook that my emails are undeliverable. I removed the account to try and re-add the account and now it keeps telling me there is a problem. I have verified the password is correct, but it keeps telling me it is incorrect and an app password needs to be created. I have set up an outlook app password, and when using this password it keeps giving me an error as well. I am able to use Roundcube, but would like to get my email set back up with Outlook. I am attempting to set up outlook under IMAP using the following settings:
IMAP incoming server:
imap.homestead.com Port 993
SSL/TSS
SMTP Outgoing server:
smtp.homestead.com Port 465
SSL/TSS

Same thing keeps happening to my outlook--seems to do this about every few months. Possible Microsoft updates may keep screwing up outlook settings? usually i can fix myself but not this time. Delete account/manage account/add it back/re check imap settings...is getting tiresome. Homestead please help permanently fix this reoccurring bug.

I was having issues and found a solution provided by @stephen4624 on another post. I also updated my email settings as they were out of date.
"So, for any users looking for help on rejected messages. I finally got tired of waiting and just reached out to phone support, who I was able to reach immediately. The rep looked at my account and apparently, he said that the system was rejecting my password because its age. He had me change my password and voila! it worked. Unfortunately, the system doesn't seem to be notifying users that their password needs to be reset. Hopefully, this will work for many of the other users experiencing issues.
To reset your password, go into your homestead account and click the "Email" tab on the left. Once there, select the domain (if applicable) and then select the email address that needs the password changed. Next, select "Edit Mailbox" and the option to change your password will be at the top. Next click "Save" and then all you need to do is update the password on your service. Good luck!
He also sent me the current homestead email settings to use, just in case. I have included them below." (see link below)
