WTF! Want to end homestead can't contact them

I am trying to end my account. I can't get any contact with them. There is no help desk.

Does anyone have a number i can contact their support if it exists at all?

I can get into my account but it will not let me edit the contact info on my own domain names. Also, i cannot get my transfer keys for the domains.

This is royally screwed.

Those numbers are completely unreachable from The Netherlands.

Both numbers do not exist.

To cancel your subscription, you must call (800) 710-1998 from the U.S. or Canada, or (International Access Code) +1 650 690 9026 from all other countries.
(note: International calls are not toll-free)

I am not in the USA / This number given for foreign customers >> does not exist. When i dial this i get: sorry this number you dialed does not exist.

Please do give a way to communicate with homestead that actually works. I don't care how but i need to get in toch. By now i tried to cancel my account with the cancel all subscriptions button inside my account and even that doesn't work. Then it will tell me to call the 1-800 number which doesn't work for me cuz i am in The Netherlands. In my country 1-800 is the information number. I could give my e-mail so you can contact me and i can send instructions.

Thank you, but that number cannot be reached from my country, The Netherlands. It is strictly for USA use. 1-800 in my country is the general information number. On the site there is also an international number to dial: +1 650 690 9026 // When i call this number from The Netherlands it says: I am sorry the number you dialed does not exist. So there. Also: on homestead.com login site in the fine line below it says: we are now part of Network Solutions(-com). So i contacted Network Solutions and they had to search for a very long time and came up with the answer that: Homestead was supposed to merge with us but never did. So, basically you just do not exist and cannot be reached and you keep telling us about this 1-800 number.

How about somebody at homestead get to work and tell us where / how we can really reach you. Thank you, that is the thing we really need.

At any rate, a lot of functions within homestead do not work: i cannot change the e-mail to go with my domain names (system refuses) so i cannot transfer them out. Which effectively makes it that you have taken them hostage. I am filing a complaint about that with ICANN.

In addition: the function "cancel all subscriptions" does not work. Function is refused by your system and produces the same 1-800 telephone number that does not work for anyone outside the USA. Again, this basically makes us all hostages of your redundant and dysfunctional system.

I am filing a complaint with my bank so that payments to homestead are no longer made until someone shows up and resolves these problems.

How to Close Your Account

  • Log in to your Homestead (https://www.homestead.com/~site/jws/GettingStarted.action) account using your username and password. Once logged in, click on “Account” in the main menu.
  • Navigate to the “Billing” section. From there, select the option to proceed with cancellation.
  • Follow the prompts to confirm and finalize the cancellation.

If You’re Unable to Log In

  • We can process the cancellation for you.
  • Please reply to this message with your explicit permission to confirm that you want your account canceled.

Okay Judelyn, thank you for the response. My domain name is not lost but I am unable to access the authorization code within my account: drbenopolo. There are various domain names such as drben.com, drben.net, chinareport.com, asiareport.com - its been with you for like 20 years.

The problem is: in my main account you have my e-mail address. However, if i try and edit the e-mail address (contact info) for every domain involved, i cannot alter that information. The e-mail address attached to the domain names = drben@home.nl // this e-mail address and even the company no longer exist. 

Please help alter this to the gmail account attached to my drbenopolo account at homestead. Then i can transfer my domains out myself. Thanks.

The only problem left then would be to cancel the account a few days later. The "cancel all services" button in my account also does not work. I hereby authorise homestead to alter the transfer information on the domains names inside my account name: drbenopolo in the name of Ben N. , Groningen, The Netherlands.
