Update credit card information

I am trying to update the card number for the billing information regarding our website. However, I get an error stating that the credit card number is incorrect, which it is not. Are there any limitations? The current card which works is issued in Canada and the new one is issued in Sweden... does it matter?

BILLING AND PAYMENTS NOT ALLOWING NEW CREDIT CARD DETAIL:
If you've tried to update your credit card online, but it won't
authorize, you should check with your bank for the following possibilities.
1. Bank does not allow $1 or $0 transactions
2. The bank does not allow online payments
3. Bank does not allow payments for online services
4. The bank has a charge for Homestead Technologies listed as “possibly fraudulent”
5. The bank does not allow charges in US Currency
6. Zip code connected to the card is incorrect. Use the credit card billing address zip code.
