If you've made changes in SiteBuilder and they don't seem to be
publishing there can be several reasons, and things too look for.

The most common thing is that you are looking at a cached version of the site. On the published site, hit the f5 key on your keyboard to refresh the page. This will tell the browser to download the page again and usually will resolve the issue. If not, then look at the instructions below.

Access the File Manager by clicking on your domain name at the top of the SiteBuilder page.

Next, click View File Manager

The far right hand column will display the published status.

If any of your pages are not published, you can click on the name of
that file and click the publish button on the top menu and publish the
individual files one at a time.

If all of your pages show a green check mark and "OK" status, then you
will need to check for broken links, or clear your cookies and cash.

How to identify broken links or site error 404 message:

https://community.homestead.com/homes...

How to clear your cookies and cache:

If none of these ideas resolves the issue, please reply below with the site, page, and changes made so we can take a look.

Barrie1596, Some people do have trouble publishing with IE 11, but usually Chrome and Firefox are reliable. I am not exactly sure if the problem is you can't publish except with Firefox, or you see the old site with Chrome and IE 11 after publishing.

Thank you for the speedy response, I figured it out. I had accidentally chose SAVE AS instead of save, and gave the SAVE AS a new name. So in the tab settings my tab was still on the old page design. while the new page design had the new name that had to be linked with that tab.. Anyways if by the off chance someone else ever has this issue. This is what happened and how I fixed it.

Have you tried a "refresh" (Shft/Ctrl/Delete) or F5? Using this procedure intermittently provides solutions to cache and cookie related interference. There are many reasons you need to occasionally clear the cookies and cache from your web browser. Here's a little trick that works on almost every web browser. Hold down the following keys: Ctrl+Shift+Delete and you'll get a pop-up. Select/check Browsing & Download History, Cookies, and Cache.
After you've cleared the history, then close and reopen your browser.
I tried this a couple of times but no success. I saw something somewhere about the File Manager/ I found it. The last entry showing in the file is 4/3/16. It is published and that image is the one I find when I go to the website via the URL using my Chrome browser. None of my many enteries in May show in the File Manager. Any ideas about what the problem may be?

Can you import an image, post it to your site today? If so, that image should be in your file manager. If you create a new page today, it will be in your file manager. Experiment using this procedure to verify new entries are working. If they don't save and publish, you may have a storage capacity contract limit. It is important that you refresh intermittently so your pages view on demand. All of your image uploads and website pages will appear in you file manager.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled How do I edit my main website page?.

I'm trying to change the webpage that is linked to my main web address, AKA my main page. I thought I changed it with Sitebuilder, but when I looked at it with a browser it was the same old look as before.

Do I have to wait for it to kick in or something?

Update: I thought I had finally found a way, but now, in trying to redesign my front page, homestead has deleted every single file on my website, like a thousand of them/

Have you tried a "refresh" (Shft/Ctrl/Delete)?
Using this procedure intermittently provides solutions to cache and cookie related interference.
F5 = Refresh: A browser works by downloading a page to your computer. Browsers will then show the page from your computer as opposed to downloading it every time you visit a page. This speeds up the process and lessens the traffic on the Internet. Depending on the browser, it will periodically check the website for a new version of the page and download if it has changed. If you don't see a change that you expect, then press F5. That tells the browser to go to the site and download the page now.

Please check these common reasons that changes may not show. If you still see a problem, please specify the page name and the differences.

The siteerror404 page is one that should remain on the site. It is a catch all page for people that get to your site, but to a page that doesn't exist. If you have a 5 page limit, that page does not count.

I have tried on multiple computers at different locations and my changes are not being published.  acnefreela.com.  The title on the top should read The Acne Clinic at Beach Cities Dermatology Tarzana..... on top of every page.  Also I added links to the articles in the MY Articles section.  I did a few test small changes and none of those worked either.  thanks

At the top of the page is: One of the Nations Top Acne Experts Now Seeing Patients in Los Angeles!
At the bottom of the page: The Acne Treatment Clinic at Beach Cities Dermatology Tarzana
You need to delete the title at the top and replace it with the text from the bottom, save and publish.
If this is a Master Page format, you can move the text box from the bottom to the top of the page. It should then appear on the top of every page.

sleon2586, The issue here is that you have too many pages. Your account allows for 5 pages and you have exceeded that number. Siteerror404 is a system page and does not count towards your total. You can add 10 pages for $2/month or delete on of the pages.
