To link text in your Website Builder site,

  1. Add text box by clicking Elements, Text, and choose the type of text box you want.

  2. Then, highlight the text you want to link and click the link icon

  3. A window will come up with all your linking options. Choose the circle next to the type of link you would like to use, if you want it to open in a new tab, then choose where it links to. You will do this by choosing the page, adding the URL, email, or phone number, or choosing the document. Then, click OK

Your text will now be linked.

I have followed all the steps, and I can't get it to work.  I highlight the text I want to link, click on the link select URL and put the url in.  select open new page, then click o.k. and nothing works.  Am I forgetting a step?

Hello,

Those are all the correct steps. After you click ok does it show the text underlined to display it is a link?

I'm having the same problem.  I'm highlighting the text, selecting URL, pasting the URL address, clicking open new page....but it's not working.  I'm sure I'd doing something dumb here...LOL!  Can you please help?    It's on my "About" page....under the text describing the photographers...there are 2 different website links that I'd like to work.  THANKS!

Oh, whew!  Wonderful, okay.  Thought I clicked on something and wiped the whole site out!  Haha!  Okay, I will try using Google Chrome or Firefox and redo the link.  Wish me luck!  I'll be back if I'm still stuck. ;)  Thank you for taking the time to help me, I very much appreciate it.

Of course! I am glad to help out. If worse comes to worse and you still cannot link from chrome, I would be happy to link them for you. Good luck! :) Let me know how it works out.

When I tried this, the URL was added to the text, as if it was part of the text.  Did I do something wrong?  (Or, perhaps it doesn't actually appear when running the site for real?)
Also, is it possible to provide a link from just a single word within the text, e.g. "You can visit my other site by clicking here" ?

The URL should not show when you add the link. As long as you highlight the desired text and use the attach link option the text should remain as is. It may appear underlined to show it is linked but the URL would not be present. To answer your question , yes you can add a link to one word only. Highlight the word you want to link in this case "here" and use the same linking instruction.
