Past Renewal Date, Can I Still Transfer My Domain?

My Homestead renewal date is tomorrow, and I do not wish to renew, I just want to transfer my domain to a wordpress free account. I found these instructions: https://community.homestead.com/homestead/topics/how_do_i_transfer_my_domain_to_another_host

But when I go in to my homestead account, the domain button only shows my account information, no options to unlock, etc. Any suggestions on what I should do next?
