My pages aren't publishing after I have updated them. Any ideas as to why?

I have just been trying to update my pages and then publish them but thhey aren't publishing. Also my 'new' gallery page is showing in the navigation link twice. It will not delets when I go into navigation edit. I have had my website for over 10 years so it isn't as though I just started.
