Recently upgraded operating system to E Capitan. I'm receiving emails on both devices, but can't reply or send new emails. Also, my notes didn't transfer over. Apple Help said to contact Homestead. We checked the ports, everything is set up in imap, etc....still no luck. Please help!

Our settings have not changed. I have seem Apple updates edit settings. You say the port is correct. Do you have SSL enabled(it shouldn't be), Is there a correct user name and password set on the outgoing mail server? What happens when you try to send?

Thanks for responding. I was able to get a tech on the phone...we had to de-select the authenticate button and change the outgoing server name...thank you though!

Now, we're trying to figure out why my Notes folder didn't transfer over to my mailbox....any suggestions?

Yes, the notes are there...once I click on 'inbox' a drop down list of files shows up...just not in my outlook box....I see all my notes there. But there is no option to even 'write a new note' like beef and the notes I've written are not showing up...

It might just be that the client needs to be told to sync the folder. This would be under the advanced settings.

You have to tell the client, in this case Outlook, to look for that folder on the server. If the folder exists on the server, you should be able to tell Outlook to get it.
