Desktop Sitebuilder stopped working !!

site builder desktop will not run on my computer. I have Windows 10 and it was working on this system. Now when I click the icon, nothing happens. I did a complete uninstall (revo uninstaller) and reinstalled. same results. to be clear- the desktop version was working on my windows 10 system and suddenly stopped. probably a windows update. no luck with compatibility mode. Any suggestions?
