Can't upload/import new file.

I am a new webmaster for an existing site and I have created new files using Dreamweaver. I am used to simply using FTP to upload new files and having a lot of trouble with uploading from SiteBuilder. Following the uploading instructions, my new files do not appear in the list of files. Now what?
