Cannot send email from my thunderbird or outlook client

I've been using homestead for years and have always setup impa and smtp settings in mail clients such as outlook and thunderbird. However since almost the beginning of the year, I can only receive emails through those clients, I cannot send, it displays the message that the SMTP authentication has failed. However settings seem to be correct : smtp.homestead.com port 587
