A password protect page on my site periodically becomes unavailable.

A password protect page on my site periodically becomes unavailable (and makes my users unhappy!). I have figured out that I can fix this by changing the password, then changing it back. What is the problem here and how can it be permanent fixed. Site is grandvalleykennelclub.org, page is Members Only.
