Unable to reset password to login to homestead once I followed email link - can't login to community without it

I am posting this for my wife.  

She tried to log in to homestead and was told that due to new security measures, she would need to reset her password.  She clicked on the link sent to her email and was presented with a password login screen.  She filled it in, using the naming convention required but the error message said "Password must have at least one number."  It did have one number.  To make things worse, there is no way to see what you have typed to see if you have made a mistake.  Additionally, when she tried to create a post here in Homestead Community, it said to login to Homestead FastPass, and that link took her back to the Homestead login screen, but it hasn't let her reset her password.
