Site is not found on Google search after almost a year!
I published my site last January and it is still not found on a Google search. It comes up on Bing immediately, no problem. I have had Google crawl the site and inspect the url several times and it always comes back with the same issues: "duplicate without user-selected canonical" and only 1/4 pages is indexed.
I have never encountered this issue with any other site I have created in Homestead. I've called tech support 3 times and was told there is nothing wrong with the site. At this point my only solution is to get off of Homestead and re-build the entire site in Wix.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks!

Hi Kathryn,
You may try using AI to review each page and suggest changes to each page. I did this recently to our site and since making the suggested updates, saw a significant improvement in pages crawled and indexed by Google. I used MS Co-Pilot, but I would think any AI platform would help.
To summarize, I asked the AI to review the following URL for SEO improvements. I let the AI know it was a Homestead WebsiteBuilder site. I then asked it to provide an optimized Page Description, Page Meta Tags (Only META and LINK tags are allowed in Homestead), and a list of keyword phrases for the page. Then I cut and pasted the results into the SEO section of WebsiteBuilder for each page. Then use Google Search Console to have the page re-crawled and indexed.
There are additional things you can do with AI to improve a site's performance, but these should be a good start.
I hope that helps.
