Publishing Products is all messed up

When I publish products, ALL the product pictures show, instead of just the ones I set to show. The invisible ones shouldn't be showing. Also, when clicking on the product pictures, none of the info shows up. Just a blank screen. I went back and put the store as invisible since nothing is working correctly. I tried with Microsoft Edge, then tried with Google Chrome.  I tried hitting F5, too. Nothing worked. I have a lot of new products to add, but I'm holding off since the site is not working properly. Is this a technical issue? 

Also, when I am editing and clicking on making certain categories invisible, something pops up saying Product name needs to be displayed. That makes no sense.

Is anyone else having any of the same issues I am?
