How do I connect my updated website to the URL I currently own?

I updated my site using the website builder but it is not replacing my current website. When I enter the URL that I want to use, the system is stating that 'this domain is already associated with a website account.' Somehow I have two websites, and the one I meant to replace is still 'live.'

To change your website builder website association, navigate to your domain or account settings in your website builder's dashboard, find the 'Domains' or 'Site Association' section, and select the new website you want the domain to point to. After selecting the new site, click 'Save' and then go to the new website's editor to publish it for the change to go live.  Steps to change your website association Go to your domain settings: Log in to your website builder account and find the 'Domains' or 'Site Association' link in your dashboard or main navigation. Select the site association option: Once in the domain section, look for a button or link labeled 'Change Site Association' next to the domain you want to update. Choose the new website: From the dropdown menu, select the existing website you want your domain to be associated with. Save your changes: Click 'Save' to apply the change. It may take some time for the new association to become active across the internet. Publish the new site: Go to the editor for the website you've just associated with your domain. Make any necessary adjustments and then click 'Publish' to make the site live with that domain.
