Header on mobile site is not showing up.

My name on the header of my mobile site will not show. I have set the design back to desktop, changed the colors of the font, etc. Still. No change. What can I do?

You are using Websitebuilder? Review the editing details. Perhaps this will help?

Thanks. I reviewed all that and made many adjustments, but yet, I cannot see my page title on the mobile design on Homestead.

Your home page shows Kristen Muench, Muench Arts at the top of the page.

I can't see the menu, however, on my phone.

@kristen3073 On my computer monitor, half of the page is devoted to the header. The header is fixed and it's hard viewing the website material. Why don't you try condensing it? Is this site built with websitebuilder or Sitebuilder plus?

It's on Website builder. I see what you mean. I need it to scroll with the page. But that's on the desktop part. I'm really having trouble with the mobile part. I just can't get it to work.

The Homestead website builder mobile editor allows you to customize the mobile version of your site separately from the desktop version, ensuring a responsive, user-friendly layout. It operates by organizing the site into sections, enabling you to drag-and-drop elements, hide specific items, and use a "mobile custom style" to adjust fonts, colors, and images specifically for smaller screens. [1, 2, 3, 4]
Key Features of the Mobile Editor
  • Section-Based Editing: The mobile site is structured into sections based on your desktop layout. You can reorder these sections, but you cannot move elements between different sections in mobile view.
  • Customization Toggle: You can select elements and choose "Mobile Custom Style" to change their appearance, such as font size, alignment, or color, specifically for mobile users without altering the desktop view.
  • Element Management: Elements can be dragged to reorder them. Items can be hidden in mobile view by clicking them and selecting the "hide" option.
  • Image Adjustment: Images can be set to "fit" in mobile view to prevent them from being cut off on smaller screens.
  • Mobile-Specific Elements: You can add specific icons, such as click-to-call or email icons, which are particularly useful for mobile visitors.
  • Header Customization: The header can be adjusted to include a simplified navigation menu, such as the three-lined hamburger menu, which is recommended for mobile devices.
  • "Boxes" for Organization: Boxes can be used to group elements together, ensuring they move together and stay properly arranged on the mobile version. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Steps for Editing Mobile Pages
  1. Toggle to Mobile View: In the editor, switch to the mobile icon to see how your site appears on a phone.
  2. Adjust Layout: Rearrange or resize elements to fit the narrow screen.
  3. Use "Fit" for Images: Select images and use the 'fit' option to ensure they display properly.
  4. Hide Unnecessary Items: Hide complex elements or large images that do not translate well to mobile.
  5. Preview and Save: Review the changes to ensure a consistent experience across devices.

Hi Kristen,

When I checked your website on mobile devices (both Android and Apple), the name Kristen Muench – Muench Arts appears. If this is what you were referring to, then it is displaying correctly.

Kindly confirm if I am looking at the right place. Thank you

Yes, that's my site! Funny, but my name and page title won't show on my laptop when I'm working in the mobile setting. Why do you suppose this is happening?

It is disconcerting that they show up on everyone's phone and devices, but I cannot see them when I'm designing in Homestead.

@kristen3073 Should the header text remain invisible on mobile view, kindly switch to another browser or clear your cache and try again. Thank you.
