To fix access issues with the Homestead Sitebuilder Plus editor, start by clearing your browser cache and cookies, or try using an incognito/private window. If the issue persists, check your DNS records, ensure your subscription hasn't expired, or try reinstalling/repairing the Sitebuilder application if using the desktop version.

Immediate Troubleshooting Steps
  • Clear Browser Data: Clear your cache and cookies to ensure an old, non-functional version of the site isn't loading.
  • Try Incognito/Private Mode: Open the editor in a private window to rule out browser extension conflicts.
  • Verify Domain/DNS: Ensure your domain is properly connected and check for any DNS lookup issues.

Editor-Specific Fixes
  • Sitebuilder "File Changed" Error: If you see a "site has changed since you started" error, this indicates a conflict. Try logging out, clearing your browser, and logging back in.
  • Reinstall Desktop Version: If you are using the Sitebuilder Desktop app, you may need to reinstall it. Uninstall the current version, delete the C:\ProgramData\Homestead folder (hidden), and reinstall, which forces a fresh download of your site files.
  • Check Storage Limits: If the editor won't load or save, you may have exceeded your allotted disk space, preventing the editor from loading, which can be checked in your Account Summary.

If Problems Persist
  • Contact Support: If you continue to see errors, Homestead Support can check if there is a server-side issue with your account.
  • Check for Software Conflicts: Antivirus or firewall software can sometimes block the editor from loading.
