My site worked on Wed., had old content Thurs. I got the publish to work last night after about 20 attempts. ...but, not on mobile. Still had old content there. This morning I still had old content on mobile but after a publish, it FINALLY updated.
What is going to happen tomorrow and can I trust that customers are actually seeing the current content?
I am going to guess that this is a web.com issue with their content delivery network. The whole point of a CDN is to distribute the new content to multiple servers so that users connect to the nearest server for the best possible performance. Not being able to properly do that is a huge fail.
Regardless of what the issue is, they need to fix it for everyone and not just on a case by case basis.

I was just notified that our engineers made a change on their end that should resolve this issue. Can you let me know if you're still experiencing this?
