Cloudflare Error 1000: DNS points to prohibited IP means your domain’s DNS records (specifically A or CNAME) are incorrectly pointing to a Cloudflare IP address instead of your Homestead origin server IP. To fix this, log into your Cloudflare Dashboard, go to DNS settings, and update records to point directly to your Homestead server.
Cloudflare Docs +3
Steps to Fix Error 1000 for Homestead Sites:
  • Update A Records: Locate the A record for your root domain (@) and ensure it points to your actual Homestead IP address, not a Cloudflare IP.
  • Fix CNAME Records: Ensure your www CNAME record points to your Homestead site address (e.g., websites057.homestead.com), not back to your own domain.
  • Remove Conflicting Records: Delete any extra or incorrect A/AAAA records that might be causing a loop.
  • Verify and Publish: After updating DNS, go to your Homestead Sitebuilder and republish your site to ensure settings are active.
