Open link in new tab

I have clickable links on my website.  When I set them up I checked the box that says "Open In New Tab," yet when these links are clicked on the file is downloaded instead of opening in a new tab.  How can I fix this so that files actually open in new tabs?

Thanks, but it's not just my computer - it's anyone that clicks on my links.

Hello,

Files cannot be opened in the browser like that. You would need to convert them into images for them to open in a new tab.

Thanks, but they are not image files - they are audio files.

I have moved this site from Sitebuilder to Website Builder.  In Sitebuilder it was no problem creating a clickable link that would open in a new tab, so why would I have problems doing this using Website Builder?

I have a similar challenge - mine is regarding 2 Word docs.  Prior to my updating the links, they used to open in a separate tab.  Is this still able to be done?

Have you tried to reset the link? You should be able to set it to open on another page.

I don't know if I've reset the link.  Would that involve deleting what is there & redoing from scratch?  If so, I have not done this.  I just attached my new document to the existing setup.
