Homestead SiteBuilder login issue
When I try to login to my Homestead SiteBuilder which I have downloaded to my desktop computer, I am getting an error message every time. I have always used it on my computer in the past to edit my website and now I am unable to. The error I am getting says “There has been an error logging in. Please double-check your username and password. If you have questions, please contact customer support.” How can I get logged into my SiteBuilder again?

While you can still use SiteBuilder Plus online (I think-it has been almost 10 years since I used it) I don't think Homestead is supporting SiteBuilder desktop any longer. Rather than wrestling with the very very old software trying to make it work, you might want to consider using that time to "rebuild" in Website Builder. You didn't list your website so I can't see what you are working with now. While you can't just transfer pages into Website Builder, you can download your files and also cut and paste the text you want to keep into the new software templates. They are very nice, secure and have a decent mobile version. I've "remodeled" a lot of sites into Website Builder and they all look good. I don't know which package you have, but generally you will be able to build the new site in the same account, name it similarly to your domain (it will have a different domain ending like mycurrentdomain@homesteadcloud.com) and when you are ready, you just attach your REAL domain name to the new site. That is not hard. There is a learning curve on the new tools, but they are better and there are tutorials to help learn them. Or you can just call me and I can explain those. Might be faster if you get stuck. You can find me at 410-493-4984 during reasonable hours on the east coast. Updating may not be your first choice, but the result for your brand is going to be much better.
