When .PDFs are uploaded, where are they stored and does Homestead ensure they are hidden from search engines/unauthorized access

If we want .PDFs (the actual objects we've uploaded) to be visible ONLY VIA HOMESTEAD and ONLY ACCESSIBLE by those with an account (username/password to our site), do we get that by just setting "Password Protect" and "Hide from Search Engines" in the Manage Page Settings. OR does that only hide the page in Homestead and NOT hide the stored objects (which appear they might be store in Google storage?). Or to ask another way, how do we prevent .PDF files we upload that we don't want public from being accessed in their storage locations directly by search engines or other direct means.

Hello HOA Board9957,

The files for your site are stored securely in the website builder platform. The only way to access them is from your website directly. If the page is password protected the search engines will not be able to index the PDF file links.  The only other way the files are accessible is by using a direct link to the file.

Setting the option for hide from search engines tell search engines not to index the page. Most search engines will not index the page if the hide from search engines option is active.
