How to Update Sitebuilder on old page

My homestead page is at least 5 years old. I do not want to lose all my information and have to re-make my page. However my sitebuilder when I edit my page is very dated. How can the sitebuilder be updated to allow me to make the best site I can or is it because of an old site layout
