How do I convert existing website to a cell phone format?

I have had the same website "format" for a number of years which was originally designed to be viewed on a desktop or laptop.  I am planning a long overdue upgrade/reformat of the site but I need to do so in order that the site can be viewed on both cell phones and desktops.  What is the best way to accomplish this?

WHY HOMESTEAD'S NEW WEBSITEBUILDER PROGRAM?
You need to have a website program that is mobile-friendly. That's why the old Homestead Sitebuilder Desktop and Sitebuilder Plus architecture won't work. All website hosting companies have had to upgrade their programs to accommodate the new mobile demands. Like Windows 7 is made obsolete by Windows 10. Homestead's new Websitebuilder is the solution to mobile-friendly website design. We need to be flexible in these rapidly changing times.
For WebsiteBuilder sites look at these instructions.

NEW WEBSITEBUILDER:
You can upgrade to the new WebsiteBuilder! You can rebuild your site in the background while your old one is still up and running. After you're done, Homestead can switch your domain over. This new builder has a mobile editor built in.

Thanks for getting back to me.  How do I know if I have the newer version of websitebuilder?  That being said, I think I have it figured out.  My home page was the biggest issue. Furthermore, I did not realize that when I formatted the other pages, I was doing so using the mobile guidelines.   Thanks again

You can identify the newer version of Homestead by checking the "Payments" tab in your account, which is a key feature of the newer system. Another indicator is if your site was built after a specific upgrade, it may be labeled as a "Version 2" site, while older sites are "Version 1".
Key indicators of the newer version
  • "Payments" tab: The presence of a "Payments" tab is the most definitive sign. This is where all sales transactions are shown and is a feature of the newer system.
  • Version 2 label: If your site was built after the upgrade, it may be labeled "Version 2" within the system.
  • Digital product sales: The ability to sell digital products is another feature of the newer version, which allows you to create and sell digital goods through the platform's order form.
How to check for these indicators
  1. Log in to your Homestead account: Access your account dashboard.
  2. Locate the "Payments" tab: Look for a tab or section explicitly labeled "Payments" in your navigation menu or dashboard. This is the most reliable indicator of the newer version.
  3. Check for the "Version 2" label: If you can't find a "Payments" tab, look for any labels that indicate your site's version, such as "Version 1" or "Version 2"

Thanks for the insight.  I did see that I am able to sell digital products.
