editing site problem

when i click on edit site i receive a message about uploading but never directs me to edit my site. the other option i see is to delete the website pages if i continue? please help

Try this:

To edit your Homestead website, log in to your Homestead account dashboard, click Websites Manager in the left-hand navigation menu, and select Edit Site. This will open the Homestead Website Builder or Sitebuilder Plus editor where you can modify your content.
