Outgoing emails not being delivered — even when sent directly from Roundcube
I am having an ongoing problem with outgoing email from my Homestead-hosted email account/domain, circlekppm.com.
Incoming email is working, but outgoing messages are not being delivered.
Here is the troubleshooting I have already completed:
Initially, Apple Mail was unable to authenticate with
smtp.homestead.com.I changed my Homestead mailbox password.
I confirmed that the new username/password works correctly when logging directly into Homestead/Roundcube webmail.
I tested the standard SMTP settings using port 465 with SSL/TLS.
I also tested port 587 without SSL/TLS. Port 587 accepted my username and new password, but messages still were not delivered.
Most importantly, I eliminated Apple Mail as the cause by sending test messages directly from Homestead Roundcube webmail.
Roundcube shows the messages as successfully sent and places them in my Sent folder, but the recipients never receive them.
I tested multiple unrelated outside email accounts/providers. None of the test messages arrived, including in Spam/Junk.
Because messages sent directly through Roundcube are also not being delivered, this appears to be a Homestead server-side outbound delivery issue rather than an Apple Mail configuration problem.
Could a Homestead support representative please check:
Outbound mail delivery for circlekppm.com
The outbound mail queue/server for my mailbox/domain
Whether messages are being rejected or blocked after leaving Roundcube
The current SPF/DNS configuration for the domain
Any DKIM, DMARC, sender reputation, blacklist, or outbound filtering issues
Whether my domain/mailbox is affected by any current Homestead email service issue
Please escalate this to the email/server Engineering Team if necessary.
This is a business email account, so reliable outbound delivery is important. I would appreciate any information you can provide about why Roundcube reports these messages as sent when they are not reaching any outside recipients.
Thank you.
