Emails now not being received from senders that have worked in the past

I am now having a couple of email senders having emails bounced back to them as 'rejected' even though they have sent me emails in the past.  Something going on with how emails are being received?  I get a LOT of junk mail all day long yet now I am again faced with customers not being able communicate.
