Email cancelled with my subscription?

What happens to my email when I cancel my website subscription?  Is my email still available to use, and if not, do I have to delete all of my emails before cancelling?

No response yet, but I googled it.  Yes, we will lose our email.  Since I often have personal information emailed to me, I chose to delete emails like a crazy person; I am not clear on how/if Homestead does it, I am not willing to take the chance of anyone's information being 'out there'.
