Cannot receive or send emails from Gmail accounts. Is there a problem with Roundcube and Gmail?

Have not been receiving or able to send emails if they are Gmail accounts. Not through Outlook or Roundcube. What is the problem? Is there an update needed for Roundcube? Which version is the newest?
