Can I change email to Domain.com?

Yes, you can. We have partnered with the team at Domain.com to offer you email at $11.88 per year. The price is per domain name, and allows for up to 10 email addresses. Their Deluxe Email plan is $23.88 per year for one domain, and allows for up to 25 email addresses.

Once you set up your email only account, you will only need to update the DNS records through Homestead so that the MX record points to Domain.com’s mail server.

Important: When you set up an account with Domain.com it will not contain any emails you had with us it will just start receiving new emails. You can still access any old emails by logging in at mail.homesteadmail.com or by setting up Outlook to download the messages to your computer.

Also, if you download all of your mail to an external mail client such as MS Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird, etc., you can set up your new email with Domain.com using an IMAP connection, or using a Business Email license ($4.99 additional fee per month per email address) to sync the mail back up to our mail server. Domain.com has a fantastic customer support team that is well versed in how to handle both of these scenarios

To set up an email only account on Domain.com, simply follow these steps:

  1. Go to Domain.com.

  2. Click Add to Cart in the Email section.

  3. You will be prompted whether or not you are already a Domain.com customer, select No, if applicable.

  4. Enter the domain name you plan to use for email in the Use an Existing Domain Name field and click Add Now.

  5. Proceed to the shopping cart, enter billing and contact information and press CHECK OUT to complete the order.

  6. When the order has completed, you will be sent an email to update your account password.

  7. Once you have logged into the account, you can proceed to Mail Central to create your email addresses.
