Website Not Secured

I am a subdomain and am getting a certificate error when browsing to the website.  There does not currently appear to be a CNAME pointed to it.  "auxiliary.arlegion.org" When I try to add one it gives me an error that auxiliary already exists and that it will redirect. Currently using Homestead and not done through Website Builder.  Additionally, Users have issues viewing on mobile because the format does not come across. Users must select Classic.

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out. I understand your concerns regarding the certificate error on auxiliary.arlegion.org and the issues users are experiencing when viewing the site on mobile devices.

After reviewing the setup, the Subdomain feature in SiteBuilder Plus (SB+) is designed for domain redirection only and cannot be used to create or manage DNS subdomains. Because of this, it is not possible to add a CNAME record for auxiliary.arlegion.org through the SB+ editor. The message indicating that "auxiliary" already exists and will redirect is expected behavior for this feature.

If your goal is to secure the main domain, arlegion.org, we can assist with that by creating and configuring a Cloudflare account on your behalf to enable SSL and improve security for the primary domain.

Regarding the mobile display issue, SiteBuilder Plus does not support a separate mobile version of websites. As a result, the site will continue to display the classic desktop view on mobile devices, which is why some users may need to select Classic to view the website properly.

If you'd like us to proceed with securing arlegion.org, please let us know and we'll be happy to help.

Thank you, and please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any additional questions.

Hi,

I'm happy to let you know that we have successfully added an SSL certificate to arlegion.org to help secure the website.

As part of this process, we used Cloudflare to provision the SSL certificate. If you receive any notifications or emails from Cloudflare, please feel free to disregard them, as they are related to the security setup we completed on your behalf.

Please allow 24–48 hours for the SSL certificate and DNS changes to fully propagate across the internet, although the process is often completed much sooner. During this time, you may continue to see the site as unsecured from some locations while propagation is still in progress.

If you have any questions or continue to experience any issues after the propagation period, please let us know and we'll be happy to assist further.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

If you notice any issues or have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. We'll be happy to assist further.

@joeana_velasco So will the Auxiliary site ever reflect secure as well?

We are unable to secure the subdomain (auxiliary.arlegion.org) because the current hosting configuration only provisions SSL certificates for the primary domain (arlegion.org). At this time, the platform does not provide a way to generate, assign, or install SSL certificates for SB+ subdomains, which is why auxiliary.arlegion.org cannot be secured with HTTPS.

May this be requested as a feature update?  It seems that we SHOULD be able to secure the sub if the main domain is secure.  Thanks for your help!
