I need to add 4 cname records for Shopify authentication but the dns editor will not allow the characters needed
I can't proceed by adding the authentication records needed.

This is the error I get.

Hello,
If there is no other way to point to your Shopify, you'll need to look into routing your nameservers through Cloudflare. This is a 3rd party that will allow you to add the records you need.
