Yes, if you're transferring to Namecheap, you'll need to contact them at that point to start the transfer on their end.

I did that since Friday and the transfer has been on "Awaiting release from the previous registrar".

How long does it take for the transfer process to be done??

@kemi2277​ TRANSFER DOMAIN:
If you contact your domain registrar, they should be able to get the domain ready for transfer and send you an authorization code. Then, you add the domain to your Homestead account under "Use a Domain I Already Own" in the Domains tab and input the Authorization Code. The process takes 5-7 days to complete.

I'm transferring from homestead to Namecheap, but it has not been completed for over 3 days. Is there a way to fast-track the process?
