Sudden barrage of spam after Intuit to Homestead transition

Since the Intuit to Homestead transition all of a sudden I am receiving multiple spam emails every day whereas previously I had none. Nothing seems to be directed to my Junk folder, so it all ends up in my Inbox. Has Homestead started selling our email addresses??? The timing of this barrage was very coincidental. Also is there a way to activate a spam filter since the default does not seem to be doing anything?
