How do I enable USPS as my Shipping Provider?

Sign Up for USPS Web Tools
1. Navigate to the USPS Registration page.

2. Enter your details and submit the registration request.

3. You should receive a confirmation message stating an email has been sent to your account with your account's login information.

4. Inside of the email you will find the USPS Web Tool Username. This will be required later in order to enable live quotes inside your Bigcommerce store.

5. Call USPS at 1-800-344-7779(7:00 AM to 11:00 PM EST daily), provide them with your username, and ask them to switch your account to the Production Server.

If USPS says that you need to perform tests before they can switch you to the production server, simply inform them that you are using a shopping cart called Bigcommerce.

Enabling USPS
1. In your Bigcommerce control panel, select Setup & ToolsShipping.

2. Either Add a Country or select Set up shipping charges for your zone.

3. Find Realtime Shipping Quotes switch USPS to on.

4. Choose your Display Name. We recommend you leave this as USPS.

4. Open the Connection tab and enter the Username. You can find this in the email sent to you in Step 4 above.

5. Switch the server to Production and then enable the Delivery Types you would like to offer.

If you would like USPS to calculate rates based on the dimensions you have entered for your products, set the Package Type to Large.

6. Save your changes.
