Different Domain Name?

I started my site with one name, then changed to a different name for my web address (domain) and home page. The first name is still seen as the name of my website or original domain or url. How do I drop that first name (domain)? I believe the first name is my "domain" name, but I want the current name/address to be my domain name. How do I change this?
