tranferring domain to squarespace invalid authorization

I am trying to transfer my domain to squarespace. I have unlocked the domain and have been sent the authorization code. When I enter the code to squarespace it tells me the auth code is invalid. I tried sending again and was sent the same auth code. I tried again and still auth code is invalid. Please help. As far as I can tell I am doing everything correctly.
