Problem deleting previously used/revised jpg's.

When editing web pages, I need to remove jpg's & other pictures no longer needed. However, each file must be found @ least twice or more before deletion occurs. Any fix?

I posted a similar message a few months ago but got no notification of any reply and I can't even find my post anywhere on this site.
