Not seeing the updated information posted on my website

I have edited and updated some information on my website.  When I look at it on the web the new updates are not showing up. When I am in editing mode, they are still on the page.  I hit the publish shite button and follow the prompts, but am not seeing the new content. How long should it take for that update to appear?
