If I close a website what happens to the email account associated
I have a couple of websites I would like to close. What happens to the emails on these especially if they have been around a while?
Could someone buy that domain and then get access to future incoming emails?

Hello,
The emails would be deactivated and eventually, all content would be deleted. Technically, someone could purchase the domain after it expired and create the same email address, in which case, yes, any emails sent to that address moving forward would be received by the new owner.
