"Contact Us" form submission emails

I just started using the "contact us" button on my website instead of just displaying my email address. I've received one that I need to reply to, but it looks like I can not just hit "reply" and respond to my client. It looks as if I'll need to start a new email which will then not include his original message. Am I correct? Thanks
