bounced emails

Hi Homestead Team, I am having the same problem as many others. This is the second time I send this email.

I hope it can be solved asap. It is not good for business and very time consuming. This issue has been

happening for months now. :(

My emails are bouncing back for different reasons.  These are the two messages I receive. 

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

    host hotmail-com.olc.protection.outlook.com [104.47.11.97]
    SMTP error from remote mail server after pipelined sending data block:
    550 5.7.1 Unfortunately, messages from [66.96.186.9] weren't sent. Please contact your Internet service provider since part of their network is on our block list (S3140). You can also refer your provider to http://mail.live.com/mail/troubleshooting.aspx#errors. [DB5EUR02FT041.eop-EUR02.prod.protection.outlook.com 2023-05-10T20:11:06.904Z 08DB5165622BA6C2]

SMTP error from remote mail server after end of data:
    550-5.7.26 This mail is unauthenticated, which poses a security risk to the
    550-5.7.26 sender and Gmail users, and has been blocked. The sender must
    550-5.7.26 authenticate with at least one of SPF or DKIM. For this message,
    550-5.7.26 DKIM checks did not pass and SPF check for [bckelp.com] did not pass

Must be something wrong with servers. I haven't been able to connect to my email using my email client in 2 days now. I have 2 domains and neither email is working.

I can certainly take a look. The issue shared above is relating when sending to Outlook email addresses. What are the email address or domain that is experiencing an issue?

I am also having this issue with emails to Gmail and Yahoo accounts.  Same error message.  What can be done?

Hello Louise9059,
I can see that the TXT record for your domain needs to be updated, but this would have to be done inside of your Cloudflare account as your nameservers are pointing their.
When you are able to log into your Cloudflare account, please replaxe the TXT record with this record:
v=spf1 ip4:66.96.128.0/18 -all

 

Additionally, please also review this article for our email records and mark the listed records inside of your Cloudflare as 'DNS ONLY'. The only records that should be showing 'PROXY' would be the records for your website.

@todd_h​ thank you I am trying it out. 

On the DNS Records page

There is a triangle with an ! in it that says (exposes the IP address used in the A record of our website ) which you have proxied through. 

Should I fix this?

@todd_hHi Todd, as you suggested this is what I did. And now when I type in BC Kelp it says

This site cannot be reach.

Hello,
You can enable the "Proxied" option for the following records:
A -> mobile.dudamobile.com
A -> mobile.dudamobile.com
A -> websites039.homestead.com
CNAME -> www websites039.homestead.com

The Email records are the only records you do not want to show Proxied, which are the records with the "mx" somewhere in it.

Thanks -   I updated Cloud Flare as recommended.  Lets see if this works now.  Thank you for this information.
