ADA Compliance?

A friend has just received a notice she is being sued because her farm website is not "ADA Compliant".  What the heck?

So how do we do this?  A quick search says a site must be navigable by keyboard only.  Images must have text "tags".

HELP!!!

Hello,

Unfortunately, I can't tell you how to make your website ADA compliant, because it's a legal issue. I can answer any questions you have about how to do specific things that may make your site compliant. For example, you've learned that images need to have Alt Tags to be ADA compliant.  To add this, click on the image, click More > Advanced > Settings, and type in the image description under "Alt Tag".

@elyzabethv  Ok... I click on an image on my website and there is under Links a place to add ALT text. Is Alt text and Alt tag the same thing?

@elyzabethv  Another requirement of ADA is that the site can be navigated by keyboard only without a mouse. Can you advise me how to do that?

Under "Links"? I'm sorry, but I'm not sure what you're talking about. Can you send me a picture?

Our websites can be navigated via the Tab and Shift+Tab keys on a keyboard.
