Hi,

I've been reviewing and testing the customer account features in the My Account area at the top of my home page.

1. When I click on My Account, there is text which states, "From this page you can view your orders...Choose an option from the menu on the right..." The problem is that there isn't a menu on the right. It's on the left. So, I'm hoping to figure out how to change the word right to left.

2. On the View Order Status feature, I am interested in changing the wording. It currently states, "See the status of every order you've placed at CrimeTech...and if so an optional tracking number." I would like to find out where I can go to edit this wording.

3. I noticed that the Your Recent Items feature doesn't work, but I plan to create a help ticket for this issue. For some reason, even though I looked at several items, this feature claims I haven't looked at anything.

If anyone has any ideas about where to change these wording edits, that would be great. I've already attempted Inspect Element in Firefox, but didn't have any success. Probably because I'm a borderline idiot when it comes to this stuff.

Thank you!

1) I see that. The templates must have been changed in that regard. I am looking for the location of that code now.

2) I am looking for this code too. It is probably in the same place.

3) I see that as well. I am looking in to this as well.

There is a lot to look through on the store and some things are much more difficult to change than others, so don't feel bad about asking questions. Sometimes we have to look pretty hard for the answers as well.

Ok, I found the place for numbers 1 and 2. You will need to edit the code from the template files. The file you are looking for is account.html. On my template it is line 20 for the top text(#1) it is a class "intro" You would delete the 4 % signs and everything in betwen them and then place whatever text you want in between the ><

For number 2, on mine it is line 27. ViewOrderStatusDescription. Again remove the 4 %s and the stuff between them and replace it with the text you want. You template may be different, but I am not sure. If you need more help with this, let me know

Since you're so awesome, perhaps I could sneak in one more question please? I've noticed a grammatical error and am curious if you know where I can look to fix it. When I click on My Account at the top of my home page at www.crimetech.net, you go to a page with a heading entitled, "Signin/Create Account." I would like to change "Signin" to "Sign In." Any thoughts? Thank you!

Oh, yes, it is good there. If you click on "My Account" (just to the left), there is a heading on that page that has the problem.

Ah. Go to the Panels folder and look for loginform.html. On my template it is line 20 had has <h4> tags. Again replace the %%code%% with what you want displayed.

Unfortunately on the recently viewed items, that feature only works if you have a personal SSL certificate. Homestead sites operate on a shared SSL certificate.

Oh, yes, I see. Thanks so much for looking in to the Recently Viewed Items feature. I had put in a help ticket to PSD Center for template support, and they told me about the SSL certificate, too. PSD wiped the feature off the page, so it no longer exists.

At this point, I think I'm all set for a good while. You have been so patient and helpful! A return high five to you!
